BAK Regional Economic Database: Chart Sets

Competitiveness of your region – clear, descriptive and comprehensible

Chart sets of a region’s current competitive situation consist of benchmark comparison with 12 selectable reference regions via analysis and graphic presentation of the region’s economic performance and attractiveness.
The graphs show the economic development of a region in international comparison for the last 10 years. How have the population and GDP developed (per capita, nominal, real)? How productive and competitive is the region? How attractive is the region for companies and specialists? How innovative is the region.

The chart sets provide fast and informative answers for the internal and external communication

Standard chart books

Annotated chart sets containing specific interpretations and statements in addition to the graphs

On request, chart sets and chart books can be expanded to include in-depth analysis of economic structure and individual location factors. This refers, for instance, to additional graphs illustrating the development of focus and/or cluster industries, high tech industries, etc. On top of this, individual innovation indicators can be added, analysed in detail and presented in the form of a graph, e.g. patents by technologies, cutting edge technologies or the patent portfolio held by the regional companies. Individual location factors can also be analysed in greater detail. Regional university quality, for instance, can be broken down further according to subjects or knowledge transfer. Moreover, clients can order graphs depicting taxation for various employee groups (e.g. with and without family) and income classes.
